Greetings. The City of Burlington is a model of the forces which shaped American History. Founded in 1677, the City has for almost 330 years cultivated a legacy of civilized growth as the cornerstone of West Jersey.

Woven into the history of this landmark City are the legendary achievements of our nations founding fathers including Ben Franklin, William Penn, Elias Boudinot, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Capt. James Dont Give Up the Ship Lawrence, and author James Fenimore Cooper.
Our City was once the Capital of West Jersey, and the third largest port in the New World. A wealth of Firsts of state and national scope originated here.
